Widening of the breach in the Rumanian anti-Semitic movement was disclosed today when it was learned that Prof. Alexander Cuza is convening his former League of Christian National Defense for a conference in Czernowitz this Saturday and Sunday. Prof. Cuza will deliver an address on the recent Nazi Party Congress in Nuremberg, Germany.
The Nuremberg congress was the cause of a serious rift between Prof. Cuza and Prof. Octavius Goga, Fascist leader in Rumania, who joined forces two months ago to form a united anti-Semitic organization known as the Christian Party. Prof. Cuza insisted that the organization be represented at the Nuremberg congress, while Prof. Goga opposed sending delegates.
Grave apprehension is felt in Jewish circles here because the conference of the Cuza part will take place on the same days as the Jewish New Year holiday.
