An unconfirmed dispatch received here reports that Rabbi Hirsch Gorelik from Yassina, Russia, for whom a visa to the United States is available, is among the arrested ritual slaughterers of Rogatshov who have been in prison for more than nine weeks while fear of the consequences has prevented anyone from intervening.
According to the dispatch the wives and children of those under arrest are starving and have sold all of their possessions in order to buy bread. In addition to Rabbi Gorelik those under arrest are Abraham Yashnizki, Abraham Ridner, Mendel Frankel and Feivel Dropkin.
