Renewed anti-Semitic rioting in western districts of Poland broke out today following a pitched battle between police and peasants resisting arrest of anti-Semitic agitators, in which three peasants were killed and an unascertainable number wounded.

Further details of the clash, which reached here today, said that police, seeking persons responsible for disorders last week in Zagarow, took several peasants into custody in neighboring towns.

When the police arrived in Szetlewek, they were set upon by peasants and forced to fire upon them, killing three and wounding several more.

The police had been sent into the region after anti-Semites had attacked Jewish traders in the Zagarow market square last week, pillaging Jewish-owned stalls, damaging the synagogues and stoning Jewish houses.
