Burial services were held here today for Abraham M. Klein, one of Canada’s best known and respected poets, who died here yesterday. A Montreal lawyer and Talmudic scholar, Mr. Klein was one of the “original Montreal school” of poets who introduced the techniques of modern poetry to Canada in the late 1920s. Mr. Klein was awarded the Governor General’s Medal in 1949 and the Edward Blank Memorial Fellowship in 1947.
