Ritual murder propaganda against Jews is being fostered in a number of churches both openly and under various disguises, Polish newspaper reports today citing several cases.
Recalling that such propaganda led to the recent pogrom in Kielce, the official government organ Rzeczpospolita draws special attention to the fact that in a Catholic church in Leczyca, near Lodz, there is a box displayed near the altar containing the skeleton of a child with an inscription that the child was murdered in 1639 for Jewish ritual purposes. There is also an oil painting in the church showing a group of bearded Jews in prayer shawls allegedly in the process of murdering a child for “ritual use.”
