Diego Rivera, whose “Portrait of America” contains reproductions of all his murals done in this country, and who is now at his home in Mexico City, writes his publishers, Covici-Friede, that a demonstration by about fifty persons took place in front of his home.
When he asked the reason for their presence, he was told they were protesting against his drawing of Hitler in one of his panels on the walls of The New Workers School. The leader of the demonstration stated that Rivera had not made Hitler “brutal enough.” Rivera is anti-Nazi in his political beliefs.
