Charles Kramer, chairman of the American pro-Falasha Committee, and Dr. Jacques Feitelovitch, founder and field director of the committee, called on Israel Ambassador Eliahu Elath to inquire regarding a report that the Israel Government has decided not to permit Ethiopian Jews into the country ## the grounds that the Falashas allegedly suffer from an “inherited and infections” ?isease.
The delegation presented Mr. Elath with a memorandum denying this allegation, the Ambassador assured the delegation that there is no discrimination regarding en?rance of any Jew who desires to emigrate and settle in Israel. He promised to make enquiries regarding the reasons for prohibiting the immigration of Falasha Jews to Israel.
