Robert Szold, head of the Palestine Economic Corporation, arrived here to study the company’s activities in Israel and plans for the new industrial development sponsored by the P. E. C. which will bear his name.
He told reporters that the aim of the Palestine Economic Corporation is to strengthen Israel’s economic position. The company, he said, had already invested $10,000,000 in Israel industries, of which $4,000,000 was in new paper mills. The company, he said, has also become affiliated with an oil company which has received a government concession for drilling here.
