The Rockefeller Foundation today announced a grant of $17,000 for jaundice research at Hebrew University. The research will be carried on at the department of hygiene and bacteriology of which Dr. I. J. Kligler is the head. The Foundation is trying to obtain clues to the origin and characteristic tendencies of jaundice, about which very little is known.
Fighting French authorities have assumed responsibility for the maintenance of the Hebrew University’s Department of French Civilization, it was announced here today by the American Friends of the Hebrew University. It was established in 1937 by the French Government, which also endowed it with a valuable library, The Department is headed by Dr. A. Duff.
