Historical material for a study of the role of Jewish partisans in the war against Nazism is being collected among Jews now living in Italy, Germany and Austria.
The All-European Union of Partisans, which is sponsoring the research, plans to publish two books, one of which will be the “Yiskor Book of Fallen Jewish Partisans,” and the other will be “Jewish Contributions to the Soviet Partisan Movement.” Present plans call for the publication of these volumes in Palestine. Most of the Jews of Poland and Western Russia who were partisans during the war are now scattered through Central Europe and Italy.
