Roosevelt Ordered British Subsidy to Saudi Arabia, Says U.S. Oil Man

The late President Roosevelt in 1941 instructed ## to use part of a $400,000,000 loan from the United States to subsidize ####, Jamas Moffet, who was an official of the Cal-Arabian Oil Company at that times, ## yesterday at a Senate War Investigating Committee hearing.

Moffat declared that the company, owned jointly by the Texas Oil Company and ## Oil of California, had paid $6,800,000 in advance royalties for Arabian oil ## to ## Saud in 1941.
