Two thousand young men and women of the Youth Division of the American Jewish Congress at their first annual dance heard an appeal by Rabbi William F. Rosenblum of Temple Israel to combat the rising tide of anti-Semitism.

He said in part: “We are back in the dark ages of reactionism. Religious intolerance and bigotry are again sweeping the world. For decades the elders have fought the battle for tolerance. Now they must have the united support of their younger brethren.”
