Three gifts totalling $500,000 were made to the University of Chicago clinics by Julius Rosenwald, Albert D. Lasker and Max Epstein. The gifts. $125,000 each from Mr. Lasker and Mr. Epstein and $250,000 from Mr. Rosenwald are to be made over a period of five years. Mr. Rosenwald’s contribution is conditional upon the university obtaining from local sources pledges amounting to $250,000 in addition to the three announced now.
Previously Mr. Epstein contributed $300,000 for outpatient clinics and Mr. Lasker gave $1,000,000 for medical research.
