The Luxembourg Radio said today that “the famous Rothschild library in Frankfurt-on-the-Main is almost undamaged.” The German-language broadcast, reported by the Office of War Information, added that “employees of Frankfurt’s public libraries are now engaged in repairing damage and in weeding out Nazi literature.” Stating that the library will soon be opened to the public, the broadcast said that “its contents are soon to be increased through the ecoquisition of a new private library and a student library.
