An agreement between the governing party in Roumania and the national minorities, including the Jews, was concluded by General Averescu, the Prime Minister, according to reports of the Bucharest press.
By the agreement, the Jewish population in Roumania will be enabled to send eight representatives to the Roumanian parliament.
On the other hand, a news despatch from Bucharest to the “Neue Freie Presse” states that the negotiations with the Jewish representatives failed, because Averescu declined to recognize the Jewish population as a national minority.
