Shortens Terms of Expulsion For Convicted Anti-Semitic Students (Jewish Telegraphic Agency)
Peace in the ranks of the faculty of Bucharest University, which had split over the question of the expelled students found guilty of the anti-Jewish excesses, was restored by the efforts of the Government. A group of anti-Semitic professors had demanded reinstatement of the expelled students, while another group objected to this proposal.
In mediating between the two groups it is learned the Government succeeded in settling the question by a secret order in which the terms of expulsion for the convicted students were shortened and other punitive measures made milder.
