Jewish deputies in Roumanian Parliament belonging to both Left and Right wings yesterday condemned the government for its attitude towards the Jews.

Deputy Pistiner, the Jewish Socialist, in particular assailed the government for its attempt to interfere with the Yiddish language and other “mother tongues” of various minority nationalities.

Voicing approval of Deputy Pistiner’s stand, Rabbi Zirelson, deputy for Kishineff, said: “Various peoples have tried to destroy the Jew in the course of centuries but their attempts have come to nought. The Jews will survive the Roumania oppressions”.
