(Jewish Telegraphic Agency)

A denial of the charge made against the Roumanian government in a press release of the American Jewish Committee concerning the movement to induce Roumanian Jews to renounce their claim to the national minority rights guaranteed to them under the Peace Treaty, was issued by the press bureau of the Roumanian Ministry of the Interior.

The communique issued by the press bureau states: “A Jewish Telegraphic Agency despatch from New York quotes the American Jewish Committee as drawing the attention of the Public to the fact that the Roumanian government leads a movement to persuade the Jews in Roumania to renounce the national minority rights. In point of fact, the government has not taken any steps to lead such a movement.”
