Nicolas Totu, who murdered the Jewish student David Falik, has been arrested, Zelea Codreanu, who killed the Police Prefect of Jassy, M. Manciu, because he had suppressed the antisemitic activity in his town, has been placed under police surveillance, being held at the disposal of the Public Attorney and not allowed to leave the town of Galatz, where he was found, and several other leaders of the antisemitic organisations, the Iron Guard and the Order of the Archangel Michael, have been arrested, in pursuance of the Government instructions issued recently (reported in the J.T.A. Bulletin of the 5th. inst.), that the antisemitic societies are hence-forth to be treated as illegal bodies in the same way as the Communist organisations are in Roumania.
Police searches have been conducted in a number of clubs belonging to the Iron Guard and the Archangel Michael organisations, particularly in Galatz, the town to which the student Dumitrescu, who shot at M. Socor in the office of the “Adeverul”, belongs. 26 terrorist cells were found in existence, linking up a complete system of terrorist organisations, with “black lists”, containing the names of parsons to be assassinated.
The Government, it is stated, has decided to proceed vigorously against these organisations, and to have them all suppressed.
