The Roumanian Government has ordered a new land division in Bessarabia, giving preference to the Bessarabian peasants. This step has been taken in an endeavor to win over the Bessarabian population.
The government is undertaking this policy, however, at the expose of the Jewish farmers in Bessarabia from whom it is taking the land away on the pretense that the farmers are not cultivating all the land in their possession. This order is affecting 10,000 Jewish farmers in Bessarabia.
