A public scene of unusual interest took place yesterday in connection with the Roumanian National Holiday which was celebrated here.
The King and Queen of Roumania, who attended this celebration and received the representatives of all denominations, granted the request of the “National Union of Transilvanian Jews” to receive public blessing from the Chief Rabbi of Klausenberg. After the ceremony, the King thanked the Rabbi and expressed the hope of a happy co-operation with the Jews in Roumania.
