Demand Reinstatement of Those Expelled for Riots (Jewish Telegraphic Agency)

Resistance to the order of the University Senate expelling all students found guilty of the anti-Jewish excesses was developed by a group of anti-Semitic professors at the university.

The professors formulated a demand that the expelled students be reinstated. The dean of the school of philosophy at the university, who resigned, was replaced by Professor Madregu, notorious anti-Semite.

The Government now seems to have adopted a more conciliatory attitude toward the students since the Christian League threatened to compromise the authorities by revelations showing their complicity in the Transylvanian excesses.
