The low mortality rate among Jews in Europe as (##)ced by the absence of epidemics or large-scale outbreaks of infectious diseases (##) not be intepreted as an indication of the good health of the DP’s, Dr. Leon Wul(##) executive director of the American OSE, declared in a report to a meeting of the organization’s board of directors and its advisory council.
Dr. Wulman, who recently returned from a survey of the health conditions of (##)ean Jews, said that the health of the DP’s must be judged by “more subtle cri(##) such as psychological equilibrium, mental stability and narvous balance. Dr. (##)rd Kahn was elected chairman of the advisory council.
