Before sailing for England yesterday to assume his post of director of the international Refugee Bureau, George Rublee conferred on the plight of Austrian and German refugees with Maurice Bisgyer, international secretary of B’nai B’rith, it was announced today. Mr. Rublee expressed great sympathy and restated the two-fold objective of the intergovernmental committee — to obtain Germany’s consent to withdrawal of capital by the refugees and to arrange for their settlement.
