Director George Rublee of the Intergovernmental Refugee Bureau conferred extensively today with members of his staff, reviewing the entire situation to date.
No date has yet been fixed for Mr. Rublee’s departure to Berlin to undertake negotiations there on the question of permitting emigrants to take with them a portion of their capital. It is understood that there will be no meeting of the full refugee committee prior to Mr. Rublee’s departure, although he will confer informally with officers of the bureau. Mr. Rublee has not yet met Lord Winterton, chairman of the committee, but the two will probably confer later this week.
