Rumanian newspapers reaching here today report that all Jewish women in Rumania between 16 and 60 years of age have been ordered to report for compulsory labor. Those failing to comply with the order will be tried by a military court. Applications for exemptions must be submitted to the authorities through the Central Jewish Committee in Bucharest and its representative in other cities.
The newspapers also carry a report confirming that Dr. William Filderman, Rumanian Jewish leader, has been released from a camp in Transnistria and is now back at his home in Bucharest.
