No Rumanian Zionist or communal Jewish leaders have been released from prison by the Rumanian authorities, according to reports reaching here today. These reports said that all appeals by Zionists and World Jewish Congress leaders for bail have been turned down by the Rumanian High Court.
Meanwhile, other reports, from Czechoslovakia, hint at the possibility of the Czechs releasing Mordecai Oren, Mapam leader sentenced to prison during the Slanky trials. Prague recently released Shimon Orenstein, another Israeli in a similar position.
