Reports reaching here today say that Rumanian authorities, who had been arresting and imprisoning Jews in recent months, have released a number of Jewish leaders.

The reports say that 10 Zionist leaders held under “administrative arrest,” but not yet formally sentenced, have been released, and nine others serving short terms were also freed.

Among those allegedly freed are David Sternlieb, chairman of the Zionist Federation of Galac; Mrs. D. E. Leibovitz, whose husband is still under arrest; and Miscu, Dascalo, former member of the Rumanian parliament.
