Chief Rabbi Moses Rosen, who has held elected office in Rumanian legislatures for the past 13 years, will be a candidate for the National Assembly (Parliament) in the next elections to be held March 2. Rabbi Rosen, president of the Federation of Jewish Communities of Rumania, will run from a district of Bucharest. He joined with Rumanian officials and Israel’s Minister Eliezer Dorion to honor a Latin American visitor, Dr. Tobias Kameszain, president of the Federation of Jewish Communities of Argentina. Dr. Kameszain and his wife were reciprocating a visit paid to Argentina by Rabbi Rosen last year.
