The Rumanian Cabinet yesterday authorized M. Radulescu, of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, to introduce the Nuremberg Laws into Rumania along the same lines as they are operated in Germany, and to head the office which will be created for the purpose of carrying out these laws, it was announced today over the Bucharest radio.
Radulescu last week had been ordered to “cooperate” with German officials in studying the question of limiting Jewish rights in Rumania “in a legal manner.” The new role assigned to him indicates that the Rumanian government does not consider the various severe measures which have been imposed upon the Jews in the country as sufficient and that more anti-Jewish legislation can be expected.
