As part of a project for closer relations between Rumanian Jews and the Jewish communities of the neighboring countries a delegation has arrive here from Bucharest to confer with the leadership of the Budapest Jewish community on a cultural exchange program. The project is sponsored by the Jewish Democratic Committee of Rumania.
At a meeting held here several of the Rumanian Jewish leaders gave an account of the current status of the Jews in their country. Their account was received with great interest at the parley which decided that, pending the realization of the full exchange program, arrangements will he made for keeping both communities fully informed of the activities of the other. The meeting was called jointly by the Budapest Jewish community and the Central Board of Hungarian Jews.
