Jewish leaders who were planning to go to Vienna to testify before the Anglo-American inquiry committee have been denied exit visas, and will, therefore, submit memorandums to the U.S. mission here for forwarding to the committee, in lieu of their testimony, it was learned today.
Memorandums will be submitted by the Zionist Organization and the Rumanian section of the World Jewish Congress. The only person officially invited to Vienna by the committee was Dr. William Filderman, well known Rumanian Jewish leader.
Filderman’s invitation was sent to him through the American mission. The British mission is reported to have promised Filderman that it will arrange for him to appear before the committee when it holds hearings in Palestine.
