Jewish leaders were alarmed today by the announcement in the daily, Romania, considered a government mouthpiece, that the new minorities guarantees will not apply to Jews and that the regulations of the anti-Semitic Goga Government will remain in force. This contradicts a statement by Prof. Silviu Dragomir, Government Commissioner for Minorities, who told Dr. Theodor Fischer, a Jewish leader, that Jews would be treated like other minorities.
