The contributions being made by ORT to the rehabilitation of Rumanian Jewry, and consequently to the reconstruction of the country as a whole, were stressed here at a ceremony opening a new Central ORT Building. Among the government representatives present were the Ministers of Public Education, Labor and Economics, as well as trade union and industry leaders.
In connection with the opening of the new center, the ORT disclosed that it now has 54 trade schools and training shops in operation throughout the country. Its work is supported by all sections of the community, social and political. The chief source of its materials is the World 0RT Union in Geneva, which has provided machines, raw materials, technical advise and also money.
