Vasile Andreian, former Rumanian Army major, who during the war served as mayor of the town of Husi and had at his disposal two detachments of Jewish slave laborers, has been sentenced to 20 years imprisonment at hard labor by a court here. The sentence also ordered that his property be confiscated.
The court established that Andreian submitted the Jews under his rule to “ferocious treatment” and “behaved toward them without pity, not even sparing the sick.”
