Rumania’s Jewish Policy Not Approved in British-Rumanian Clearing Pact, Commons Told

Nothing in the clearing agreement with Rumania can be construed as approval of Rumania’s policy on the Jews, the House of Commons was told during a recent debate on the agreement. While anxious to increase British trade, "it must be understood we do not consent in any form to what is going on in Rumania regarding the treatment of minorities, particularly the Jews," declared Sir Arnold Wilson, Conservative.
