That the Palestine Moslems plan the erection of a mosque near the Wailing Wall, is a rumor which is spreading throughout the city. The erection of this mosque would cut off the access of Jewish worshippers to the Wall.

The Jewish communal organization of Jerusalem the Vaad H’ir, took cognizance of these rumors, bringing them to the attention of the Governor, who promised to institute an inquiry.
