The 15-man committee appointed by the Israel Government to study the problem of rationing shoes and clothing began its work here during the week-end. The committee is composed of members of parliament and representatives of various groups.
The rush to stores by crowds seeking to buy commodities which are not rationed — which started when the law rationing footwear and clothing was announced — subsided today. Trade throughout the country is slowly returning to normal.
