Russia has placed special controls on the activities of groups that subscribe to anti-Semitic views, Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin told a Russian Jewish leader. In a brief meeting Wednesday with Zinovy Kogan, Putin said his government is determined to prevent anti-Semitic violence, according to Kogan. “We will do everything possible in order to punish those responsible and will show no tolerance to such acts in the future,” Kogan quoted Putin as saying.
