The agreement between the Comzet, the governmental department for settling Jews on the land, and the Ica, the Jewish Colonization Association, was ratified yesterday by the Council of People’s Commissars.
Under the provisions of this agreement, the Ica will participate in the settling of Jews on the land in the Soviet countries. The agreement will be valid for three years and during the first year the Ica pledged to expend the sum of $100,000 for the promotion of land settlement.
