One million roubles will be allotted by the Soviet Government for aiding Jewish colonization work in Bureya, Siberia, according to a decision of the Bureya commission of the Comzet, governmental department for Jewish colonization.
The allottment will be made for the year 1928, out of the Comzet funds. Merezhin is chairman of the Bureya commission of the Comzet.
The Comzet also decided to entrust the Ozet, society for settling Jews on the land, with the supervision of the Bureya work.
