Russian Jewish leaders are concerned that increased xenophobia in the wake of bombings in Moscow earlier this year could be turned against the Jews, said the leader of an interfaith group that will monitor December parliamentary elections there. The leader of the Appeal of Conscience Foundation, Rabbi Arthur Schneier, made his comments after meeting with Russian religious leaders and politicians during a recent trip to Russia.
