Over 100 representatives were present. The delegates were the guests of Dr. and Mrs. A. J. Rongy at their summer home.
The Hon. Carl Sherman was elected president of the Council. Dr. S. M. Melamed was chosen vice-president and Dr. Rongy treasurer. Other members of the council are Dr. B. Levenson, D. H. Caplan, J. Schuster, A. Hessen, Dr. Balber, J. Rudowsky, H. G. Robins, A. Brumberg, Nathan Elkin, Max Jelin and Edward Spiegel. A fund to erect a Zionist center in New York was started by a donation of Mrs. Rongy.
