A former SS officer on duty at Auschwitz, who was missing since 1945, has been arrested at Hemmingen, Wurttemberg, and will be brought to trial on murder charges, according to an announcement made here today.
The officer is Friedrich Wilhelm Boger, who has been accused as being the “inventor” of some gruesome modes of torture inflicted on Auschwitz inmates. He has been living under an alias at Hemmingen, but was recognized last week as the missing “inventor.”
