Shmuel Yosef Agnon, Nobel prize-winning Israeli author, left for the United States today for a month’s stay at the invitation of the American Friends of the Hebrew University. During his visit, he will receive honorary degrees from two universities. He will be accompanied by his daughter and son-in-law.
