A bill designed to permit those observing the Sabbath to attend to their ordinary vocation on Sunday, has been passed in the New York State Senate and now goes to the Assembly.
The bill has been sponsored by the Jewish Sabbath Alliance of America, which endeavors to obtain relief from the existing Sunday laws for those who observe the Jewish Sabbath.
The Alliance is headed by the Rev. Dr. Bernard Drachman.
