Aaron Saenz, Mexican statesman and present governor of Nuevo Leon, denied today to the correspondent of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency reports current in some American journals that he was of the Jewish faith or of Jewish origin.
“The report that I am of the Jewish faith or of Jewish origin is absolutely false,” he stated.
The “Osservator Romano,” official organ of the Vatican, published in Rome, recently referring to Governor Saenz termed him a “Protestant Jew” and asserted that he “opened the gates in the most barefaced fashion to the immigration of his co-religionaries.”
