Three American experts will proceed to Palestine to join the experts staff which is already there to complete the survey concerning Palestine’s economic possibilities conducted under the auspices of the Joint Palestine Survey Commission, according to an announcement made yesterday by Lawrence Berenson and James Marshall, treasurers of the Conunission, to the Jewish Daily Bulletin.
The three experts who are about to sail for Palestine are Dr. Leo Wolman, lecturer at the New School of Social Research and economic advisor of the Amalgamated Clothing Workers of America; Dr. Elwood Mead, agricultural expert of the United States Reclamation Service, and Prof. Jacob G. Lipman of Rutgers College a bacteriologist and agronomist.
Dr. Wolman will direct his inquiry particularly into the labor conditions and inquire into the possibilities for the textile industry. Dr. Mead. who will sail on the Leviathan August 1st. will complete the survey of agricultural possibilities. Prof. Lipman, who will also sail the first week in August is the director of the New Jersey Agricultural Experiment Station.
