Prosecution of two violently anti-Jewish Venizelist newspapers, Make-donia and Elevtherostypos, for continuing to publish inciting articles against the Jews, was begun today by the Salonica State’s attorney. The two papers ignored a warning by the governor of the city ordering them to end their anti-Jewish campaign.

The Venizelist press continues its bitter anti-Semitism, despite recent assurances from former Premier Venizelos that neither he nor his party are anti-Jewish.

The pro-government press is attempting to counteract the anti-Jewish propaganda by assuring readers that Jews are good citizens and equally good Greek patriots.
