Funeral services were held today for Sam Simon Blum, veteran American Zionist from Philadelphia, who died here at the age of 82. Simon was the founder of the famous dental factory in Palestine that supplied the whole Near East.
The services were extremely simple and without any flowers in accordance with Mr. Blum’s request. Chief Rabbi Amiel and leaders of Palestine industry, finance and cultural institutions were among the mourners at the funeral. Blum was eulogised for having had the courage and idealism to exchange country life in America for a pioneering life in Palestine.
